Born and raised in Florida, Marilyn graduated from The University of Florida College of Medicine. She then decided to venture west to complete her residency at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara, California. In her free time, she and her husband enjoy the outdoors: mountain biking, hiking, playing golf, and tennis.

Pauline’s desire to make the world a better place and help others drives her every day. She believes her purpose in life is to help people realize their potential and achieve success, and she sees every interaction with others as an opportunity to learn and grow. Nothing means more to her than being a positive influence in someone’s life.

 

Pauline has been an RN for over 10 years, with experience in home care, case management, program development/management, and ambulatory/primary care. She is excited to bring her passion for managing team and clinic operations to her current role as Practice Lead with Crossover.

 

A Bay Area native, Pauline lives in San Francisco with her husband and her dog, Timecop. She is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her family most of all.

Melinda Wong, RN

Melinda is a compassionate Registered Nurse who has been practicing the art of nursing for over 32 years. She is detailed and highly motivated to provide competent patient care. She enjoys getting to know her patients and developing a strong professional rapport with them. She has worked in both hospital and outpatient settings in the areas of orthopedics, neurology, apheresis, and oncology. Melinda believes in the power of preventive medicine to improve patient outcomes. Born in Dallas, Melinda’s family moved to a small copper mining town in Arizona at the age of four. From a very young age she knew she either wanted to be a teacher or a nurse, and when she discovered that nursing entails a lot of patient education, she felt that could satisfy both of her ambitions. In her spare time she enjoys tennis, travel, reading, and spending time with her husband, three children, and grandson.

What makes me unique: In my younger years I competed in several bodybuilding competitions and continue to enjoy weight training and exercise in general. I have traveled to over 10 countries and enjoy immersing myself in the culture of each country.

 

Why do I practice healthcare: Since childhood, I have had a keen interest in healthcare. I enjoy learning new things, patient relationships, and the ever-evolving nature of medicine. I was looking for a new perspective on healthcare administration, and was impressed with Crossover’s vast variety of services provided under one roof. I enjoy the collaborative efforts and camaraderie of our teams.

Lucia is passionate about collaborating with members in therapy and focusing on awareness, the whole body experience, and optimizing wellbeing. She does not seek to “fix” problems or people, but to develop solutions in partnership with members. Her goal is to allow people to develop their own strengths and triumph over life challenges.

 

Trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, contemplative psychotherapy, and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), Lucia’s approach to therapy involves mindfulness, compassion, emotional freedom technique, and various mindfulness techniques. She works with clients dealing with challenges related to career, health, parenting, and relationships, as well as anxiety, depression, and trauma. She also supports tech and business professionals facing job stress and burnout, and has extensive experience in grief, loss, major life transitions, and emotional and social coping mechanisms.

 

Lucia was born in Rome, Italy. When not in clinic, she loves to swim, hike, jog, golf, play board games, spend time with family, and travel.

Scott deploys local and distal acupuncture, auriculotherapy, electrical stimulation, cupping, scraping, therapeutic massage, herbal medicine, as well as exercise and lifestyle counseling. He has delivered nearly 40,000 acupuncture treatments in his busy clinical practice to date.

 

Scott is a Bay Area native. In his free time, he loves walking in wooded settings, reading and writing, cooking, playing guitar, and gaming.

Ben is a California native, born and raised in San Francisco. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, CA. He draws on his 14 years of experience in running a multidisciplinary private practice when it comes to treating patients. He is very excited to join Crossover’s integrated healthcare team at Visa. He believes that a good doctor needs to listen and educate each and every patient in order to develop a specific course of treatment that will optimize their health. When he is not taking care of patients, you will find him playing tennis, fishing, volunteering time to Palo Alto High School football or spending his weekends with family in San Francisco or Santa Cruz.

Laurie has focused her 20+ year career as a Physical Therapist and Certified Athletic Trainer on providing exceptional patient care and personalized results. She loves having a personal connection with members and believes in focusing treatment on the underlying problem (rather than symptoms) for the best long-term result. She strives to empower and educate members with the tools to make confident decisions and to become the best version of themselves.

 

Laurie incorporates a variety of techniques in Eastern and Western philosophies, and is committed to continuous professional development and learning about innovative treatments. She uses micropoint stimulation, acupressure, guasha, and kinesiology taping, as well as tapping, breathing, and meditation techniques to calm the mind and body. She has worked with multiple organizations including professional and collegiate sports teams and athletes, both on and off the field. Some of these include NFL Europe (Barcelona Dragons), Arena Football League, Championship Place Kicking and Punting (with Hall of Fame nominee, coach Doug Blevins), McGirt Boxing (with International Boxing Hall of Fame coach Buddy McGirt), and athletes from the NBA, MLB, professional soccer, and D-II co-ed sports.

 

Laurie and her husband enjoy exploring San Francisco, hiking, attending wine festivals, trying new restaurants, and traveling the globe. Colette Rose

Colette has always been interested in finding out what makes someone tick and what motivates them. She takes a whole person approach to counseling because there are so many factors that can influence a person’s nutrition and physical activity patterns. Colette listens to what her patients have to say, and puts them in the driver’s seat when creating health goals. Her philosophy is to help others rediscover a healthy relationship with food through mindful eating practices, and cooking whole foods that help heal the body from the inside out.

 

A certified diabetes educator and American Council on Exercise personal trainer, Colette began her career as a clinical dietitian at Cedars Sinai in Southern California. Shortly after, she found her niche in an outpatient setting where she coached clients to make nutrition-related behavior changes. Her specialties include diabetes, hypertension, sports nutrition, and weight management. She also has seven years of experience leading onsite employee wellness events and working as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor at Sony Pictures.

 

Originally from Santa Maria (a small town on the California Central Coast), Colette enjoys spending her free time chasing her two toddlers around, trail running, and cooking.

Julie believes in a prevention-first, integrated model of medicine and provides a personalized approach that blends Eastern thinking with Western living. She considers a patient’s openness to making the prescribed lifestyle and diet changes that often accompany treatment to be the most important aspect of the working relationship.

 

In the 14 years she has been practicing acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Julie has honed her skills in women’s health, herbal medicine, and cupping.

 

Originally from sunny Florida, Julie loves the great outdoors. She can be found most days with her teacup Chihuahua Daisy, hiking in and around the Bay Area.
