Melanie Odeleye, MD

Lead Physician, Primary Care

Read Bio

With a large family scattered across at least 4 continents and most of the 50 states, Melanie has seen medicine work in many different settings. Unfortunately, she has also seen medicine fall short of its potential in many places as well. Board certified in preventive medicine, Melanie aspires to find innovative solutions to improving healthcare quality, by using techniques as varied as behavioral change in individual patients and big data analysis for a population. Her hope is to eventually be able to translate best practices in medical quality and access to the village where her grandfather was born and raised, in south-west Nigeria.

Melanie loves to travel, read and listen to live music. She embraces the role of global citizen by learning as much as possible about other cultures. As the daughter of an immigrant, Melanie relates to the experience of straddling cultures and identities. If she were not a physician, Melanie would probably be an anthropologist or travel photographer.

Lilian Lam, RN

RN Practice Manager

Read Bio

Lilian loves working in healthcare because it is both rewarding and fulfilling. But what keeps her (and what she is in love with) is that there are always changes keeping her engaged and on her toes. Being a nurse gives her a variety of different specialties and niches, so she’s been able to find what’s right for her personality type, and loves that if she wants to change her specialty one day, nursing is a field that gives her the flexibility to do just that. She’s happy to be in an industry full of selfless individuals, one that allows her to serve the community as well as develop professionally.

Lilian earned a BS in Health Science from California State University, East Bay, and an AS in Nursing from City College of San Francisco. Prior to her role as Practice Lead, she worked as the Nurse Manager/Office Manager at a pediatric primary care office in SF, where she developed a passion for working with and encouraging new parents. She also worked in a Med-Surg unit at a small community hospital in her hometown of Delano, California, which is where she got experience working on a code-blue team. Lilian also learned the value of having culturally competent providers, nurses, and support staff while she was in that role. All of her experiences have shaped her as a nurse, and helped her consider each unique path that the people she’s helping might be on—including patients, family members, or the staff she serves.

Outside of work, Lilian enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, and baking.
